Farm Bureau Insurance earns double national award for top performance
Aug., 2007
Farm Bureau Insurance has earned an honor that only 11 companies in the United States have achieved: a top 50 ranking in both life and property-casualty insurance for 2007.
The Ward Group, a national monitor of the American insurance industry, has announced that Farm Bureau Insurance has been included on their list of the Top 50 Life Insurers in America and the Top 50 Property-Casualty Insurers in America.
Farm Bureau Insurance has made the elite list of life insurers in 15 of the last 16 years, but this is only the second time (last year was the first) that the company has earned a top 50 ranking in property-casualty insurance.
The Ward Group selects companies for its Top 50 lists based on outstanding financial results in the areas of safety, consistency, and performance over a five-year period (2002-2006 in this case).
Before naming its Top 50 Companies, Ward Group analyzed the financial performance of over 2,700 property-casualty insurance companies and over 900 life-health companies domiciled in the United States.
The complete list of companies named to the Ward's Top 50 list appeared in the July 16, 2007, edition of the National Underwriter magazine. The list also appears on the Ward's web site at www.wardinc.com.
