Reporting a Loss
How to Report a Loss:
- Call your Farm Bureau Insurance agent.
Find a Farm Bureau Insurance Agent or Office
- Provide the required information necessary to complete the Claims Notice Of Loss (e.g. date of loss, description, and any injuries)
- Your agent will notify the claim department of your loss for prompt handling of your claim.
- If you are unable to reach your agent, or you wish to call toll-free, call 1-800-292-2680 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. eastern time, Monday through Friday. To report a claim after business hours, you can call our After Hours Claims Reporting Service at 800-255-7240. This is a call center for reporting new claims only. The call center does not have any information regarding policies or the status of existing claims.

- E-mail your Farm Bureau Insurance agent to Initiate a Loss Report.
Find your Agent's Name on this list and click on it.
- Complete the required information on the form and send it to your agent.
- This will start the process. Your agent will contact you for any additional information prior to notifying the claim department of your loss.
Out of town Auto Accidents:
- Out of town: If you are involved in an auto accident while you are out of town, place a call (collect if long distance) to your Farm Bureau Insurance agent or to the nearest Farm Bureau Office.
- Out of state: If you are involved in an auto accident while you are out of state, contact your agent or place a call to the Central Claim Reporting Unit in Lansing, MI at 1-800-527-6386. The office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. To report a claim after business hours, you can call our After Hours Claims Reporting Service at 800-255-7240. This is a call center for reporting new claims only. The call center does not have any information regarding policies or the status of existing claims.
