Agency Manager Richard Pomeroy, ChFC, CLU, LUTCF, CASL
Hello, I'm Richard Pomeroy. As an Agency Manager, it is my pleasure to offer many individuals the opportunity to become a career agent with the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies of Michigan. The Farm Bureau Insurance Companies provide the opportunity to sell all lines of insurance, including life, home, auto, farm, business, retirement, and more. We are strong, financially-stable companies serving Michigan, with combined assets of $1.5 billion and some 400 agents located throughout the state. In 1985, I entered the insurance industry and chose to specialize in the estate and retirement planning fields. I was consistently among the leaders in my company in both sales and service. In 1993, I joined Farm Bureau Insurance as their Advanced Planning Specialist. Every year following I have been recognized as the leader of that department. A strong believer in professional development, I have earned the following designations: LUTCF, CLU, ChFC and CSA. I have also served as moderator for many years of the Life Underwriter Training classes. We are philosophy driven with the following core beliefs: We believe honesty and integrity in all our dealings come first; we believe that our associates must make a good living for themselves and their family; we believe that a "successful environment" will be created by developing good people to higher achievements; we believe that it is an honor to provide our clients with dedicated service and the professionalism they deserve; and lastly, we believe that the positive approach is the best approach. None of our associates started their professional careers in the insurance industry. Our leaders are from all walks of life; they were farmers, teachers, coaches, sales people, CPAs, managers of retail, and business owners. They have found that this career gives them the freedom, financial rewards and personal satisfaction that can only be found by "going into business for yourself, but not by yourself".
